The first 5 episodes aired on CBS, but due to low ratings CBS cancelled it. A total of nine aired episodes and a non-aired pilot were made before the show was cancelled. UPN acquired the rights and re-aired the entire show. ITV bought the rights to show the series in the United Kingdom and the SCI FI Channel bought the rights to show the series in the United States. Ran Galor's song "Quiet the Night" was the theme song. There was an unaired pilot to the series that would have taken the storyline in a very different direction. Wolf It was a TV series produced by Scottish Television and broadcast on CITV for 4 series between 1993 and 1996. The show was spin off from the Saturday morning TV series What's Up Doc? and features Bro and Bro, two English wolves who featured regularly in the aforementioned show. The programme was filmed in and around the Maidstone television studios, where it was also set, with Bro & Bro having set up home in a film vault. The wolves called each other "Bro" however their real names were never heard as there was always some noise which would mask whatever was being said by any person who was saying their names at the time. The show replaced Rolf's Cartoon Club, and like the previous show, also showed cartoons, all from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series, which ITV owned the rights to at the time, 2 shorts were shown each episode. Bro and Bro were played by Don Austen and John Eccleston. Despite Eccleston's shoes being filled on the original What's Up Doc? by Dave Chapman, best known perhaps for playing Otis the Aardvark as well as multiple characters on Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow. Eccleston continued to perform his character for subsequent series of Wolf It!

The pilot was aired several times over the 2009-2010 Holiday season and is titled "Hairy Lawman". The show is produced by the Vancouver based film company Really Real Films Inc. and is now being distributed by Tricon Films & Television Inc. APTN passed as the sole broadcaster for the series, however another broadcaster is being sought out.
